Privacy Policy

Gramo ("we", "our", or "the App") is a protein intake tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Gramo.

1. Information we collect

Personal information you provide:

• Body metrics: Age, gender, and weight — used solely to calculate your personalized daily protein target.
• Activity level: Your self-reported exercise frequency — used to refine your protein target calculation.

Meal & nutrition data:

• Food photos: When you use the AI recognition feature, your meal photo is sent to our AI service provider (Anthropic) for analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers or by our AI provider after processing.
• Food entries: Names, portions, and protein content of the foods you log — stored locally on your device.

Subscription data:

• We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier and purchase transaction data from Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information.

2. How we use your information

We use your information exclusively to provide and improve the App's core functionality:

• Calculate your personalized daily protein target
• Analyze meal photos to estimate protein content
• Track your daily protein intake progress
• Provide smart nutritional tips based on your patterns
• Manage your subscription status

3. Data storage

All personal data (body metrics, food entries, daily records) is stored locally on your device using the app's local storage. We do not maintain user accounts or store your personal data on external servers.

If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.

4. Third-party services

Gramo uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API): Processes meal photos for food recognition and protein estimation. Photos are sent via encrypted connection (HTTPS), processed in real-time, and not retained after processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscription purchases. Receives anonymous user IDs and Apple transaction data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store: Processes all payments. We never receive or handle your payment details.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes. Your health and nutrition data is never used for advertising.

6. Data security

All data transmitted to third-party services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Local data on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features.

7. Children's privacy

Gramo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control at all times:

• Access & export: All your data is visible within the App.
• Deletion: Clear all data from Settings, or simply delete the App.
• Opt-out: Use manual food entry at any time without AI features.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
